Let me correct that, I have 14 EBs (2 are $5, 1 is $4), a $4/$20 on purchasae of cosmetics, skin care or hair care, a $4/$20 off beauty purchase (hair, skin, sun, nails and fragrance), and the $5/$25.....I've been busy!! :)

Okay C, here's what I got for ya...

If I were you, I would purchase:
(1) Loreal Revitalift @ 11.99
(1) Garnier Fructis Shampoo @ 2.99
(1) $6.00 item of your choice from beauty department as indicated on your $4/$20.

Use (in this order):
$4/$20
1.00/1 Loreal Revitalift (if you have it)
1.00/1 Garnier
14 ECBs

You will pay .98 + tax out of pocket and earn back 13.99 ECBs. If you don't have the Loreal Q you'll pay 1.98 + tax OOP.

PS: When does your 5/25 expire?

Unknown said...

It expires Sunday, I got it in my email yesterday! Thanks for your help!!

Hmmm... in that case, you could do this scenario instead, provided your store has Crest Pro Health toothpaste in stock (mine has been out since last week).

Same as previous, but also buy Crest Pro Health Whitening toothpaste @ 3.49 (it's a monthly ECB deal), and any item(s) totaling $7.

Use 1.00/1 coupon from paper (2 weeks ago I think) in addition to your 5/25, other Qs and 14 ECBs.

You'll pay about 3.50 + tax and get back 17.48 ECBs.

I think I'll try that! Thanks for your help!! :)

Wow, awesome deal scenarios. I have a 5/25 coup that's good on Sunday, and 10 ecbs. I could get interested in the Revitalift, the Garnier, and the Cool Blue mouth rinse. I already bought two of the Crest Pro health--is that a limit of 5? I am confused! Any ideas?

Becky, yours is a little tricky with only 10 ECBs but you can double them for about $6 OOP (that's assuming you have the following coupons.)

Do 2 transactions. The first is the Loreal Revitalift. Use the 1.00/1 coupon, pay 10 EBCs and about a buck OOP, get 11.99 back.

Transaction 2 would be:
(1) Cool Blue @ 3.99
(1) Garnier @ 2.99
(1) Glaceau Smart Water @ 1.59
(1) Nova Max Glucose Meter @ 9.99
(1) Crest Pro-Health @ 3.49 (these are reported as being limit 3 or 4, so you should be good)
(1) item(s) totaling 3.00

Your total will be just over $25.

Use:
5/25
1.00/1 Cool Blue
1.00/1 Garnier
1.00/1 Crest
11.99 ECB
Pay about $5 + tax, earn 20.07 ECBs

Even if you don't have all the Qs, you'd still get a great return on your money with this scenario.

Oh, and the glucose meters can usually be donated to hospitals, assisted living centers... or friends with diabetes. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Thanks! I never think to look at the glucose meters, but that second transaction looks great. You are a whiz!

I wish I'd come to you first. Nearly identical situation to candice. I had $14 in ECBs and a $5/$25 (I'd already bought 3 prohealth and gotten ecb's for all 3, didn't know the true limit was 4)

I was willing to burn my ECB's and lay off CVS for a while. All together, my $5/$25 and $2 off cvs brand and ecb's would give me $21 off $25, so I thought it'd be fun to just go get what i wanted without working any deals.

So I wanted to get a natural skin moisturizer. I fudge on most things like shampoo and toothpaste and use whatever's available, but this stuff is absorbed into my skin, so I don't want to use any petro-goop. I spent an hour in there and couldn't find anything! I looked at the ingredients of a LOT of lotions, but not the Jergen's naturals. (Don't recall seeing it). I mean, I was even looking at the bottle of straight vitamin E oil and the hair oils intended for black hair (as in African American - it's mostly coconut oils and good plain stuff, and I've used it before as a moisturizer and in my hair).

I ended up with Burt's Bees (I'm not crazy about the scent, but I'm okay with it). Are there other brands that you'd consider 'natural' that cvs carries? My joy trip ended up being really stressful. Ever try to pick out $25 worth of ANYTHING YOU WANT at CVS? Too much pressure (how'd I end up with children's flossers? How is that fun?)

Cassie said...

Bren, I feel your frustration! I get SO overwhelmed when there are too many options and I can't. make. a decision. I probably would have ended up with a cart full of shower loofahs or pencils or something.

I love Burt's Bees stuff myself but the scents can be pretty intense so you gotta love 'em. CVS's new apothecary line, Vickery and Clark, is all natural and chemical-free. I haven't tried it yet but I'm working up to it.

I need to spend some quality time in CVS to see what they really have in the way of naturals and organics; since I've always been pretty brand loyal to Burt I haven't considered branching out... but I feel a new post coming on later in the week once I've done some research. =)

I think I've always gone in like an invading army, with my plans and crackers for the baby and plan B in case something goes wrong so I can carry out a surgical strike and get the heck out... I haven't browsed. Last night was the first time I noticed that they carry Dr. Bronner's. I thought they SHOULD have a CVS brand of natural skin care, but couldn't find anything. The "hurry back" yelled out by my husband as I was walking out the door didn't help. Made me panic when I couldn't find just the right thing. quickly.

A guide to the natural brands and non-natural brands that ain't so bad at cvs would be helpful. Get started on that, won't ya? ;)
